Overview
Electrical Installations Tutor opportunity at City & Guilds Training – Electrical. We are expanding and recruiting in new locations, including Portsmouth. We are seeking experienced Electrical Installation Tutors/Trainers to join our friendly team.

Salary: £38,855–£46,000, with £48,000 if appointed IQA. Salaries are negotiable and depend on location, skills and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality electrical installation subjects with practical and theoretical training, aligned with company and awarding body guidelines.
- Assess courses according to guidelines and maintain accurate records.
- Review student performance and implement necessary procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity policies.
- Collaborate effectively within the team and with external parties.
What you’ll do
Deliver courses such as C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3, C&G 2382, C&G 2391, C&G 2377, C&G 2921, plus BPEC Solar PV and Battery Storage, and develop training materials to meet specific requirements where needed.
Qualifications and experience
- Recent, relevant industry experience in domestic, commercial, and/or industrial Electrical Installation.
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification or equivalent.
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- Solid knowledge of Electrical and Science principles.
- Practical capabilities in Electrical Installations.
Desirable (not essential):
- Level 3 Assessing qualification or equivalent.
- Level 4 Internal Quality Audit certificate or equivalent.
- Green credentials (Solar PV, EV, EESS).
Requirements
- Effective communicators and team players with good interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently.
- Problem-solving attitude with a patient and controlled demeanour.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- All successful applicants will be required to undertake checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure, and provide proof of right to work in the UK.
