Would you like to be involved with supporting the production of assessments for City & Guild’s Qualification Wales Plastering assessments? We are looking for competent industry experts to join us in producing assessment content for our plastering qualifications with immediate effect. This examiner role gives you the opportunity to work alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates, and to continue to develop your own skills.
Roles:
- Reviser
- Panel Member
- Scrutineer
Three different roles are available. Details of what these roles consist of can be found in the attached Role Profile.
What we assess:
The assessments within the Qualification Wales Plastering qualifications include multiple-choice exams and assignments. We are looking for examiners to help produce multiple-choice questions (MCQ) initially, with ongoing maintenance of the examinations and assignments required when needed.
Time commitment:
Most of this work can be completed in your own time, provided you can meet our deadlines. However, all successful applicants will be invited to attend a mandatory one-day MCQ writing training course. This will be held in January (or be delivered personally if you are appointed after the date). Following successful completion of the training, work could be commissioned in the following weeks. The reviser and panel member roles will need to attend full-day meetings to evaluate the assessment content. These are arranged based on associate availability and are planned in advance. Maintenance work may be required on an ongoing basis.
Application process:
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis between now and the closing date. When completing your application, it is essential you read the person specification fully, and map your application to show where you meet the requirements set out. Please note applications that do not demonstrate meeting the person specification may be declined or delayed. As part of the recruitment process we will explain more about the requirements and ongoing commitments of the roles and we will also ask you to complete a task to identify which role(s) are best suited to your experience and availability.
Diversity and inclusion:
We believe that diversity and inclusion strengthen and enrich us, and that it is the responsibility of everyone at the City & Guilds to drive this value. We work hard to be inclusive in our approach to recruitment and associate opportunities, whilst still ensuring we meet our regulatory requirements. We strongly encourage and welcome applications from diverse and underrepresented communities.
