We are looking for an experienced assessment writer to support the development of the City & Guilds Plumbing and Heating qualification (6036-352 Design Assignment). This freelance, remote role involves writing assessment materials based on existing versions, aligned to current qualification standards. Flexible working is available, but attendance at virtual meetings will be required to support collaboration and review. City & Guilds is seeking a writer to support the development of its new reform qualifications in Plumbing and Heating. This role involves producing design assignments for the 6036-352 unit, with the next assessment cycle beginning in January 2026. We are looking for someone with experience in writing assessment materials, particularly assignments, and a strong understanding of the plumbing and heating industry. You will be working from two existing versions of the assignment, which can be used as a foundation for development.
This is a remote, freelance role. You can work in your own time, but you will be required to attend virtual meetings to support collaboration, discuss production progress, and address any amendments. The 6036-352 assignment assesses learnersβ design skills and their application of industry knowledge.
