Battery Replacement) Technician Location: Woodston, Peterborough – role is mobile driving to various locations through the UK. Hours: 40 per week (8:30am to 5:00pm with 30 minutes for lunch). Overtime may be available. Pay: £12.21 per hour Temporary: To January / February 2026 We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual to support our client by attending their customer sites across the UK to replace back-up batteries in solar-powered CCTV towers. During the shorter autumn / winter days the panels receive less sunlight, which means the systems draw on their back-up batteries frequently, causing them to deplete more quickly. The role requirements are as follows: * Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a company van (due to insurance purposes you must be 25years of age or over). * Willingness to travel across the UK (efficient routes will be planned). * Candidate must enjoy driving and working outdoors, in all weather conditions. * Confident attending a variety of customer sites, including construction sites (full PPE and uniform will be provided). * Able to work with hand tools * Lift batteries from the van (please note these batteries are heavy) * Relocate batteries to the tower * Replace safely * Transport flat battery back to the office. * Comfortable working alone, as this is a single-person role. Full training on safe battery replacement, storage, and handling will be provided. The role will involve you picking up the van in the morning going out to the various sites, then returning to our clients site in Woodston at the end of each day to drop off the van and the flat batteries, so they can be recharged overnight. Job sheets must be completed electronically via an app (on your phone or a company tablet). Reporting to: Workshop Supervisor
