About the Role
I am currently working with a well-established and growing security provider who is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team in the North of England. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, confident sales professional with strong knowledge of the security and manned guarding sector. The ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially minded, and ready to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business opportunities across the North of England
- Manage the full tender and bid process from initial enquiry through to submission and presentation
- Confidently make cold calls and open new conversations to generate leads
- Build quick rapport and develop long-lasting customer relationships
- Grow and nurture existing accounts to maximise revenue
- Take full ownership of your sales pipeline, ensuring consistent activity and results
- Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and excellent service standards
- Conduct site visits, client meetings, and prepare tenders
- Deliver presentations and negotiate deals to close sales
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service delivery excellence
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
About You
- Proven experience as a BDM within the security or manned guarding industry
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end tender process
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to hit the ground running
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly
- Confidence in cold calling and generating new business opportunities
- Strong organisational skills to manage your own pipeline effectively
- Full UK drivers licence
