Salary: £28,295 - £37,440 (plus overtime, travel time, and on-call allowances)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (plus optional overtime and call-out rota)

Are you a qualified Fire Alarm Engineer looking for your next step? Our client, a leading national provider of fire safety, security, and electrical services to the Social Housing sector, is expanding and looking for experienced engineers to join their growing team. This role is focused on delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault-finding, repairs, and occasional installations across a range of fire safety systems. You will work in a variety of locations and environments, ensuring systems are compliant, effective, and safe for use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting
  • Maintain nurse call systems, access control, AOVs, fire extinguishers and associated equipment
  • Provide first-time fixes where possible and report system deficiencies
  • Keep service reports accurate and up to date
  • Conduct regular van stock checks and coordinate with technical and procurement teams
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures, highlighting and addressing risks on-site

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional)
  • FIA (or equivalent) training to BS5839-1 Fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of BS5839 Part 1 & Part 6
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a professional approach
  • IT literate and able to complete digital reports confidently
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours and willingness to participate in the on-call rota
