Role: Corporate Security Officer Shift Pattern: 06:30-10:30 & 17:00-21:00 Spilt Shifts Monday to Friday Pay: £12.00 per hour Location: Kent, CT5 Company Overview: Our customer is a forward-thinking privately-owned company who are a leading provider of professional integrated bespoke security and facilities management services, giving their clients a flexible and scalable approach to addressing their security and FM requirements in their businesses across an array of sectors including educational settings / student accommodation, healthcare, charitable, corporate / estate management, warehouse / distribution, social housing, utilities, shopping centres / retail parks. The role of a Corporate Security Officer combines security and customer service to create a safe and welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Here is a breakdown of the core duties and essential skills required for the role: Key Duties 1. Visitor Management * Welcome and greet all visitors professionally * Control access to the building, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter * Notify the relevant personnel of visitor arrivals and assist with any visitor needs * Retain local knowledge of in house contacts 2. Record Keeping and Compliance * Maintain accurate entry and exit records, ensuring compliance with security protocols * Keep logbooks and registers up to date to ensure accuracy and accountability 3. Communication * Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing assistance * Send emails to clients and assist with administrative tasks as needed 4. Safety Monitoring * Monitor and ensure all visitors sign in and out as required * Alarm management set and unset * Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address any security or safety issues * Unlock the site on time ready for clients * Lock the site once a patrol has been completed and the site is empty * Access control ID pass checks in the morning and evenings Essential Skills and Experience * Professional Appearance: Present a well-groomed, professional appearance to inspire confidence in visitors. * Customer Service Orientation: Exhibit strong customer service skills to handle visitor needs courteously and effectively. * Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for addressing inquiries and coordinating with staff. * Proactive Mindset: Demonstrate a proactive approach, with a strong work ethic and problem-solving attitude. * SIA Licence: Possession of a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is required. * Vaild First Aid at Work This role requires a blend of customer service, administrative duties, and security-focused responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation and safety of the buildings front-of-house areas.
