Are you a professional and vigilant Security Officer looking to work in a dynamic and engaging environment? We are currently recruiting for a College Security Officer to join a respected educational institution in Peterborough (PE1). Our customer is a female-majority board leading in diversity and inclusivity across the security industry, providing professional integrated bespoke security and facilities management services across an array of sectors, including educational settings, student accommodation, healthcare, charitable, corporate/estate management, logistics and distribution, social housing, utilities, and shopping centres/retail parks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain full site security coverage during operational hours
- Manage access control and monitor visitor entry
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems in line with legal standards
- Act as a visible security presence and intervene in instances of student misbehaviour
- Work closely with college staff and report any concerns raised by students or teachers
- Support with ad hoc duties requested by the client
Key Requirements:
- SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guard (SG) Licence required
- CCTV Licence required
- Must be able to obtain an Enhanced DBS Check (or already hold one)
- Professional, calm, and confident with strong communication skills
- Previous experience in an educational or high-footfall setting is desirable
