About the Role
We are currently recruiting a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Maidstone. This is a Monday to Friday, daytime role within a busy head office environment, offering stable hours, free parking, and uniform provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, and the premises
- Unlocking and locking the building
- Issuing visitor and staff passes
- Monitoring access control systems
- Conducting regular patrols of the site
- Working closely with centre-based staff and stakeholders, including Social Services and Councillors
- Responding to incidents and emergencies, including fire marshal duties and evacuation procedures
- Liaising with emergency services when required
- Managing conflict situations calmly and professionally
- Completing accurate report writing and documentation
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence – essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Confident approach to conflict management
- Ability to work as part of a team in a professional office environment
- Enhanced DBS – desirable (will be applied for and paid for successful applicants)
- Prior knowledge of safeguarding children – desirable (training will be provided)
