About the Role

We are currently recruiting a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Maidstone. This is a Monday to Friday, daytime role within a busy head office environment, offering stable hours, free parking, and uniform provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, and the premises
  • Unlocking and locking the building
  • Issuing visitor and staff passes
  • Monitoring access control systems
  • Conducting regular patrols of the site
  • Working closely with centre-based staff and stakeholders, including Social Services and Councillors
  • Responding to incidents and emergencies, including fire marshal duties and evacuation procedures
  • Liaising with emergency services when required
  • Managing conflict situations calmly and professionally
  • Completing accurate report writing and documentation

Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence – essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Confident approach to conflict management
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a professional office environment
  • Enhanced DBS – desirable (will be applied for and paid for successful applicants)
  • Prior knowledge of safeguarding children – desirable (training will be provided)
