Location: London – Postcodes including: NW3, N7, E1W, N17, N5.
Employment Type: Permanent
Shifts: Various Shifts Available including: 12 hour shifts / 4 on 4 off / Days or Nights or a mixture of both available / Weekends only also available
Shift Times: Days: 08:00 – 20:00 / Nights: 20:00 – 08:00
Hourly Rate: £12.21 rising to £12.71 in April
Job Overview
We are currently seeking reliable, professional, and vigilant individuals to join our team as Residential Fire Watch Officers. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of our clients' residential buildings by actively monitoring for fire hazards and maintaining a visible presence on site. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin or develop a career in safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols throughout high-rise residential buildings
- Monitor for fire hazards, safety risks, and any unsafe conditions
- Ensure all fire exits, alarm call points, and firefighting equipment remain clear and accessible
- Maintain accurate logs and complete incident reports when required
- Provide reassurance and assistance to residents if required
- Immediately report hazards, incidents, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel
- Liaise professionally with residents, members of the public, management teams, and emergency services when necessary
- Assist with evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- Must live within a 45-minute commute to at least one of the postcodes
- No prior experience necessary – full training provided
- Physically fit and able to walk for extended periods and remain on your feet throughout shifts
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English), with the ability to liaise confidently and professionally with residents and emergency services
- Strong attention to detail and high level of vigilance
- Ability to remain calm and act responsibly in emergency situations
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
