We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Mortgage & Insurance Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial services and demonstrate proficiency in basic maths.

As a Mortgage and Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage application process, providing expert advice on suitable mortgage products, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. Your Mortgage Room is an award-winning mortgage and insurance brokerage and has been taking on new clients since 2021.

We require an experienced CAS Status Mortgage & Protection Broker to support us with incoming leads. The right candidate will also need to be confident and proactive when it comes to generating your own business. We are looking for an adviser that is local to Sussex and who is able to work from our Brighton office on a hybrid basis. This position is available for a self-employed individual looking to take the next step in their career.

Lead generation is key and this business is supremely pro-active and fully embraces the financial services culture. High quality appointments are at the forefront of the business, with these being generated from our client bank, local introducers, and social media. You will be working in a small team that is fully established and geared up to support a quality adviser with full marketing, lead generation, and training support available.

You must be CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) with at least 24+ months recent experience as a mortgage broker and also be proficient in protection advice and recommendation. Administration, managerial and compliance support is provided.

Duties
  • Assess clients' financial situations to determine suitable mortgage options.
  • Generating new leads into the business.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive advice regarding various mortgage products available in the market.
  • Assist clients in completing mortgage applications and ensure all required documentation is submitted.
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other professionals to facilitate the mortgage process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the mortgage industry, including changes in regulations and market trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Conduct thorough research to find the best mortgage deals for clients based on their individual needs.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the mortgage process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • A robust follow up process for all clients must be adopted to ensure high conversion rate.
