We’re looking for a Traffic & Transport Executive to help deliver safe, efficient and sustainable transport services across Manchester City and the wider Etihad Campus. From matchdays and concerts to day-to-day operations, you’ll play a hands-on role in managing parking, traffic flow and contractor performance, while supporting projects that enhance safety, visitor experience and sustainability.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational planning, management and delivery of car parking and first-line traffic management across all MCFC, MCWFC, EDS, U18 fixtures, concerts and major events, ensuring a best-in-class service.
- Coordinate parking and traffic requirements for internal events and venue sales, as well as for non-matchday activities, including the development and delivery of a business-as-usual operational parking plan.
- Support the contract management of the Traffic and Transport contract to ensure full compliance with the contract by the contractor.
- Administer staffing schedules, purchase orders and reconciliation reports to enable efficient processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain traffic and transport technology systems, ensuring schedules and allocations are consistently accurate.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of KPIs and P&L, including extracting, analysing and reporting data to drive operational efficiencies, financial savings and customer service improvements.
- Collect, analyse and interpret survey data to inform sustainable travel initiatives and improve traffic and transport operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g. TfGM, Manchester City Council, Greater Manchester Police, and other campus venues) to shape a best-in-class parking and transport plan for the Etihad Campus.
- Provide input and expertise to infrastructure and technology projects with traffic or transport impacts, ensuring operations are considered at every stage.
Qualifications
- Ideally, an understanding of parking & traffic management systems and processes including transport infrastructure (e.g. Urban Traffic Control signal phasing) and road closures would be beneficial.
- A-Level / Level 3 Education or equivalent experience in a hands-on operational role.
- The ability to gather and analyse complex data to drive efficiencies and improvements and to communicate this information effectively and concisely to key stakeholders/leadership/management.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders both internally and externally, from the teams they manage to peers and leadership.
