The MCFC Grounds team are currently looking for support in the management and delivery of grounds maintenance at all of our operational sites, setting and ensuring the highest standards of safety and grounds maintenance. Please be aware, this role includes working shift patterns and regular weekend/matchday working.
- Deliver high quality grounds maintenance services at all MCFC sites to the highest standard, in line with MCFC policies, legislative, environmental and certifying authorities' compliance and best practice.
- Be responsible for allocated ground maintenance tasks from start to completion including scoping the task, pricing and ordering materials, undertaking the work personally or coordinating and supervising others to ensure its timely completion.
- Ensure all Health and Safety requirements for each task is in line with H&S legislation, best practice and MCFC H&S policy.
- Ensure that the monthly/weekly planning and day to day operation for the delivery of grounds services at MCFC sites is to the highest standard, in line with health and safety, legislative, environmental and certifying authorities' compliance and best practice.
- Monitor the results of the grounds maintenance service and suggest and deliver improvements.
- Work closely with partners and stakeholders in order to provide the most suitable environment for the users of grounds facilities.
What we are looking for
- NVQ Level 3 Sportsturf or working towards it.
- Pesticides Application 1, 2 and 6 spraying certificates.
- Demonstrable experience in a Grounds Maintenance role with knowledge of health and safety legislation in practice.
- Experience with maintenance of reinforced pitches, preferably Desso or Fibresand.
- Some supervisory experience.
