Purpose:
The Senior People Services Manager (12 Month FTC) plays a critical role in shaping and delivering a best-in-class employee experience across City Football Group (CFG). Leading our global People Services team, this role ensures that employees receive responsive, high-quality support throughout their journey with CFG – from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. By championing efficient processes, intuitive technologies, and clear ways of working, the Senior People Services Manager will drive continuous improvement in how People Services are delivered at scale. In addition to leading the operational team, this role will oversee the coordination and governance of the wider People team’s global roadmap – creating a single, strategic view of all People projects and programmes in motion. This ensures alignment, transparency, and execution across both central and club-level initiatives.
Your Impact
1.Programme Coordination and Governance: Ensure alignment, visibility, and effective delivery of all strategic and functional initiatives by maintaining a clear programme roadmap, leveraging tools for transparency, and holding regular stakeholder meetings to capture requirements and manage risks.
2. People Experience Development: Own the programme of people experience development, helping to define our people experience roadmap. Lead on the development of consistent people experience journeys, acting as a project manager. Guide other members of the People Team in the build of people experience journeys to drive consistency in approach
3. Best-Practice Customer Experience: Delivery of People Services solutions across the Group, ensuring that service delivery is customer-focused, efficient, and measurable from small queries to significant moments that matter. Continuously measure People Services customer experience to evolve the delivery of the team.
4. Cyclical People Team Activity: Accountable for coordinating the communications and processes of cyclical activity that is managed by the People Services Team, allowing the team to be proactive in the management of repeating activity in the team
5. Shared and Connected Processes: Work with colleagues in the People team and across Corporate Services to share best practice and create linked processes. Have clear documentation of processes to outline where People Services intersects with other teams and departments.
6. Global Scalability: Work with the Director of People Services to design a global model for People Services that can be scaled across our clubs and satellite offices. Create a vision for global service delivery which can inform process and technology design.
7. Eligibility to Work: Act as the lead on UK inbound visa and eligibility to work legislation and policy. Own and manage the legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to the People Services team, ensuring mitigations are built against key risks.
8. Travel Operations: Lead travel operations for the business, acting as an escalation point for the Travel Operations Manager if required.

• Knowledge of managing and understanding legislation in relation to visas and eligibility to work
• Ability to align people services strategies with overall business goals, ensuring a positive impact on business performance
• Proven experience leading or contributing to DEI initiatives, with a focus on creating inclusive work environments across a global business
• Able to work with ambiguity

• Knowledge of process analysis and continuous improvement tools e.g. Lean Six Sigma
• Developing and implementing employment policies, protocols and guidance
• Experience working in industries with high[1]profile stakeholders, such as elite sports, entertainment, or other high-performance environments
• Experience handling crisis management from an HR perspective, especially in a global organization with potential for high-impact situations (e.g., political instability, travel disruptions)
• CIPD Level 7 or equivalent, showcasing a commitment to professional development within the HR field
