We\βre looking for a Scouting Insight Officer to support CFG\βs global scouting operations by managing and optimising our scouting database, ensuring data accuracy and consistency, and collaborating closely with scouts and managers. This long-term role offers the chance to develop advanced skills in data operations, football analytics, and platform optimisation while contributing to the growth of a world-class football scouting platform.

Your Impact
- Database Administration (UI Console): Use the admin interface to create, update, or delete records; Perform data edits, clean-ups, and maintain field definitions; Enforce data entry standards across records
- SQL Development & Maintenance: Write, optimise, and document SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. Maintain database integrity and manipulate data using SQL queries. Work within SQL Server environments to support efficient data workflows. Design and Maintain SQL stored procedures, database triggers, and other backend processes to automate workflows and ensure data quality. Show Willingness to expand and deepen SQL capability over time.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Develop and create new datasets by identifying, cleaning and structuring ambiguous or incomplete data sources, investigate data anomalies and inconsistencies and liaise with scouts, IT, and other stakeholders to identify root causes. Track issues to resolution and contribute to process improvements. Maintain documentation and provide regular reporting on data quality.
- Data Focus & Process Optimisation: Maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Proactively identify opportunities to streamline tasks and enhance platform performance. Consistently deliver structured, repeatable work with precision.
What We Are Looking For
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server).
- Working knowledge of Python
- Basic understanding of data visualization tools (Tableau).
- High attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Confident navigating admin consoles or database interfaces.
- Collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders.
