Manchester City’s award‑winning Content Team is looking for a Video Editor who lives and breathes the craft. If you’re the kind of creative who obsessively fine‑tunes cuts, experiments with new styles, and constantly pushes the boundaries of how stories are told across digital and social platforms, this is your stage. You’ll work across the full spectrum of City’s video output – from fast‑turnaround TikTok edits to long‑form documentary features – shaping the look, feel, and emotional impact of our storytelling. As part of a high‑performing, collaborative team, you’ll help bring ideas to life from concept to publish, crafting content that captivates fans worldwide and sets new standards for the game.

This is Your City

Your Impact

  • Edit high‑quality, engaging video content for all Manchester City platforms — from short‑form social clips to long‑form features.
  • Apply a wide range of editing styles and cutting‑edge techniques tailored to different audiences and platforms.
  • Work closely with Producers and wider creative teams, or independently as an Edit Producer, to deliver compelling stories.
  • Contribute to ideation workshops and support creative development with technical expertise.
  • Manage multiple project streams and report progress to senior editors, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to elevate the output through insight and collaboration.
  • Stay ahead of social video trends and champion new ideas across the Video, Social, Content, and Graphics teams.

What we are looking for

  • Strong experience editing high‑quality, engaging video content, ideally within a professional production environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and confidence using a variety of editing styles and techniques.
  • A natural storyteller with a passion for finding fresh, innovative ways to craft engaging video content.
  • Ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously and deliver work on time.
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working with Producers, Creatives, and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of the production process from ideation through to publish.
  • High attention to detail and strong overall digital/computer literacy.
  • Experience in sport or broadcast media, motion design skills (After Effects/Photoshop), or additional languages are great to have but not essential.
