Based in Manchester, this permanent full-time role leads the planning and delivery of integrated marketing activity across Medlock Square, supporting audience engagement, footfall and commercial growth across Restaurants, MICE and destination-wide campaigns. You will play a key role in shaping how audiences experience Medlock Square through coordinated, insight-led marketing activity across multiple channels and touchpoints.

It will offer a year‑round destination for culture, leisure and entertainment. At the heart of this new district will be an extraordinary food and beverage offer, from relaxed coffee houses and all‑day dining to flagship restaurants and premium culinary experiences. Designed to serve both everyday visitors and major event audiences, Medlock Square will deliver high‑quality hospitality all week long and across the events calendar.
Within our Medlock Square Marketing and Activations team, we create campaigns and destination experiences that connect audiences with the wider Etihad Campus. Marketing plays a central role in driving awareness, visitor engagement and commercial performance across a diverse range of products, experiences and audience groups. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across a diverse portfolio of food and beverage brands. These include a sky bar, café/bar, market hall, small plates restaurant, and hotel brasserie. The role focuses on driving brand awareness, footfall, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
You will lead the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across all Medlock Square pillars, helping to drive awareness, engagement, bookings and commercial performance across the destination. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Activations, you will coordinate marketing activity across Restaurants, Visitor attractions, MICE and destination-wide campaigns, ensuring activity is aligned to commercial priorities and audience needs. Alongside overseeing campaign delivery, you will support prioritisation across multiple channels, products and stakeholders, helping to balance commercial objectives, trading performance and audience engagement activity.
You will work collaboratively with CRM, Content, Social, Design and operational teams to ensure campaigns are coordinated effectively and delivered consistently across channels and customer touchpoints. You will also contribute to performance monitoring, budget management and continuous improvement activity, using insight and campaign data to optimise future marketing activity and improve commercial outcomes. Through your organisation, communication and collaborative leadership approach, you will help shape engaging destination experiences across Medlock Square.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in similar hospitality, bars & restaurants marketing role.
- An understanding of multi‑brand marketing.
- Expertise in digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Experience contributing to the growth of a 365‑day destination, driving year‑round visitation, engagement and commercial performance across multiple audience groups.
- Strategic understanding of destination marketing, placemaking and activation strategies, creating compelling reasons for audiences to visit beyond core event days.
- Ability to balance commercial objectives, audience needs and trading priorities to maximise bookings and customer engagement throughout the year.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to deliver seamless destination experiences across multiple channels and touchpoints.
- An analytical mindset, using audience insight, visitor behaviour and performance data to optimise campaigns, activations and commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align teams around a shared destination vision and activation calendar.
