Here at City Football Group we are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, enterprise-scale technology initiatives within our Foundational Solutions team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery across cross-functional teams, working closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and the PMO to plan, sequence, and govern work effectively. You will take ownership of delivery outcomes, dependencies, and risks, while embedding clear, consistent delivery practices and documentation that support transparency, scalability, and operational resilience.

Your Impact
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of global, cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Own delivery plans, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with wider programme and organisational objectives.
- Partner closely with the PMO to ensure delivery adheres to agreed governance, reporting, and assurance standards.
- Act as the primary delivery point of accountability for senior stakeholders, providing clear, accurate, and timely communication on progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks, issues, and dependencies across teams and third-party partners.
- Enable and support delivery teams by removing impediments, fostering collaboration, and promoting a high-performing delivery culture.
- Balance strategic outcomes with tactical execution, adjusting plans as needed while maintaining control and transparency.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, tools, and ways of working across Foundational Solutions.
- Support capacity planning and sequencing of work to ensure sustainable delivery and optimal use of resources.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience delivering complex technology initiatives within large, matrixed organisations.
- Proven track record of leading multi-team, cross-functional delivery across business and technology domains.
- Strong experience working within governance frameworks, including senior-level reporting and assurance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate confidently at senior and executive level.
- Deep understanding of agile, hybrid, and traditional delivery methodologies, and when to apply them pragmatically.
- Strong risk, dependency, and issue management capability across interconnected programmes of work.
- Ability to create clarity and momentum in ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and modern engineering practices, sufficient to engage credibly with technical teams.
- Experience working with third-party vendors.
- Proficiency with delivery and planning tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
- Professional certification in delivery, programme management, or agile frameworks (e.g. MSP, SAFe, Scrum, PMI).
