Based in Manchester, this permanent full‑time role plays a key part in supporting player development across the Manchester City Academy. Working at the intersection of performance analysis, player development and data insight, you will help provide evidence‑informed recommendations that support player progression, individual learning plans and long‑term pathway decisions across the Academy.

The Role

  • You will support the delivery of Manchester City’s Performance Analysis and Insights strategy by supporting on the tracking, analysis and reporting of individual player development across the Academy.
  • Working closely with coaches, analysts and player development staff, you will help create evidence‑based insight that supports learning plans, player reviews and long‑term development decisions.
  • Alongside managing player databases and development trackers, you will contribute to the capture, analysis and interpretation of training and match performance information.
  • You will help transform complex performance data into clear and actionable insights, supporting coaches and multidisciplinary teams in understanding player progression and identifying future development opportunities.
  • You will also contribute to strategic projects across the Academy Performance Analysis team, helping to improve data capture, reporting processes and the use of emerging technologies.
  • Through your analytical thinking, collaboration and attention to detail, you will help shape a high‑performance environment focused on continuous player development.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, Coaching or a related field
  • Multi‑year experience supporting performance analysis within youth or professional football environments
  • Demonstrable understanding of EPPP, football tactics, player development and performance reporting
  • Experience using analysis technologies and performance data tools
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Analytical and solution‑focused approach with strong attention to detail
