The club’s elite teams train and play at the state-of-the-art City Football Academy, located on the Etihad Campus in Manchester. It includes a 7,000-seat Academy Stadium, also home to Manchester City Women\’s FC and the Elite Development Squad.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a full-time Head Coach to lead our Manchester City Football School partnership at Parade College, Melbourne, Australia—bringing the Club’s footballing philosophy to a new generation of players.
The Head Coach will oversee the delivery of world-class coaching programs based on Manchester City’s methodology, blending sport with academic excellence. Working on-site at Parade’s Bundoora campus, the coach will also contribute to school football teams, run community initiatives, and play a vital role in the evolution of this long-term collaboration.

Your Impact
- Deliver the Manchester City coaching philosophy within Parade College’s football program, supporting player development from grassroots to elite levels.
- Design and implement a Football Excellence curriculum, integrating technical training with academic timetabling.
- Develop and lead internal and external Coach Education programs, mentoring junior and assistant coaches.
- Build strong relationships with families through feedback, progress reviews, and interviews.
- Develop after-hours and holiday football clinics, expanding community engagement.
- Collaborate with Melbourne-based A-League clubs, local universities, feeder primary schools, and College partners to grow the program’s footprint.
- Maintain and present coaching plans, evaluations, and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the collaboration between Manchester City FC, Melbourne City FC, and Parade College.
Essential
What we are looking for
- Holds or working towards a UEFA A License
- Relevant qualifications in sports education, teaching, or management
- Experience developing football players across a range of ages and abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with digital systems (e.g. VEO, HUDL) to support coaching
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships within a school setting
- A proactive and innovative approach to coaching and education
Desirable
- Experience delivering Coach Education programs or working in international projects
- Strong knowledge of Manchester City methodology
- Project and team management experience
- A willingness to travel internationally for short- or medium-term support programs
Child Safety
The Successful Candidate Must Demonstrate
- Experience working with children in a safe and supportive environment
- Understanding of child protection legislation, especially Ministerial Order No. 1359
- Familiarity with child safety obligations from VIT, VRQA, EREA VSL PROTECT, and VCEA
