This role will provide professional financial business partner support to the MCFC and MCWFC operational teams. A key element of the role is to fully understand the relative business areas—what is important to them, and how finance can help and drive value creation. You will lead the finance relationship with these areas of the business, including the collection, reporting, and analysis of the financials.
Your Impact
- Support MCFC & MCWFC operations with key financial processes, such as annual budgeting and forecasting
- Perform insightful financial analysis to facilitate effective decision-making by the senior leaders of MCFC & MCWFC operations.
- Be a key member of the team working to support the MCFC & MCWFC operations to meet budgets and the LRP plans, including corrective action planning when needed
- Develop and maintain strong trusting relationships with key stakeholder groups to influence and challenge outcomes and help improve decision-making supported by data
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other functional areas important for this role, such as the Legal Department, Tax, etc.
What we are looking for
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant with a relevant university degree
- Experience of the financial workings of operations, ideally within a sports environment
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with clear examples of development
- Experience with financial support to operational areas inside a professional football club
