We are recruiting a 1st Team Assistant Coach to: Shape the environment and development of athletes to enable them to perform at their best. Work with the Head Coach and Multi-Disciplinary Team to plan, deliver, and review training sessions aligned with the team’s style and game model. Maximize the technical and tactical development of the team, units, and individual players according to Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Support talent identification and team building efforts. Your Impact Training Session Planning and Delivery: Develop and document training plans with the coaching staff, focusing on the team’s style and game model. Deliver engaging training sessions that develop players’ skills and understanding. Collaborate with performance analysts to plan and review set-piece practices. Work with the Individual Development Coach to align training with individual goals. Training and Match Review: Review training and matches to improve performance, working with the coaching staff and analysts. Learning and Development: Contribute to a learning environment for players and coaches, bringing innovative ideas and seeking personal growth. Communication, Building Relationships and Leading: Build strong relationships with players and staff, inspiring and motivating. Promote professional standards and a positive team environment. Participate actively in meetings and team discussions. Talent Identification and Development: Observe and identify talented players during training and matches. Collaborate with academy staff to develop high-potential players and facilitate their progression. Oversee the development of delegated players on loan. What we are looking for UEFA A licence. Experience as an elite professional football coach. Understanding of Manchester City’s playing style and game model. Proven ability to plan, deliver, and review training programs. Experience inspiring athletes and working under pressure. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. Experience with sophisticated football technical programs.
