The Vacancy
Job Purpose
The Divisional Maintenance Supervisor will support the Division Operations Manager in technical knowledge, reporting, and coordination within the following areas:
- Project work, e.g., Hospitality focus, P1’s/P2’s, Focus reports
- Productivity reporting
- Compliance reporting – PPM management
- Spend & Budget control
- Be the technical expert for CANO/Hospitality matters, liaising with internal & external customers to drive divisional results
- Support the division with absence cover for AMMs on an ad-hoc basis
- Support the Division Operations Manager in managing store escalations and communication with the ACM as a secondary contact
- Line management for the divisional lighting team, liaising with the National Small Works Manager
All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with all Health and Safety legislation.
Key Accountabilities
Safety
- Always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy
- Complete all mandatory online training and Evolve modules
- Ensure compliance documentation is always completed and up to date, highlighting concerns to DOM
People
- Ensure company policies and practices are followed and delivered consistently
- Optimize people performance
- Attend and hold meetings with your line manager and direct reports to ensure effective communication
- Participate in training to keep pace with technical developments
- Support the Divisional Operations Manager on technical, people, and FM process issues
- Provide cover for the Area Maintenance Manager during absences and meetings
- Prioritize workload according to divisional priorities
- Identify non-repairable faults and advise accordingly
- Report repair and maintenance issues from CANO/Hospitality reports
- Carry out surveys and complete reports as required
- Represent the company professionally and develop good working relationships with City and customer employees
- Work with company and customer staff to maintain standards of quality
- Monitor and update Mercury system with live job updates and resource availability
Integrity
- Produce reports in a timely, professional, and confidential manner
- Support spend & budget control processes, ensuring costs are approved
- Communicate professionally and accurately with business and clients
- Log material spending and support Line Manager to ensure value from third-party contractors
People Responsibility
Manage the lighting team, liaising with the National Small Works Manager, and cover regional team responsibilities in absence of an AMM.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Educated to GCSE/Standard Grade level minimum; NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance
- City and Guilds 18th edition
- Knowledge of 3-phase electrics and applications
- Ability to advise/support on electrical and mechanical equipment (e.g., ovens, dishwashers, microwaves)
- Efficient repair and maintenance skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and other systems
- Maintain Health and Safety standards
- Build and maintain client and colleague relationships
