Job Description

Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer\\n\\nLocation: Slough\\n\\nContract Type: Permanent\\n\\nWorking Hours: 45 Hours Per Week\\n\\nSalary: £51,027.59 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment), Overtime, Travel Time, 33 Days Holiday, Private Pension & Benefits – Including Private Health Care, Life Insurance, Employee Discounts\\n\\nThis is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations.\\n\\nYou will be the first line in all service and maintenance throughout your allocated sites.\\n\\nTo effectively maintain service and repair Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and provide assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.\\n\\nEngineering teams provide 24hr service cover throughout the year to customer’s equipment through the use of planned and extended working hours including participation in standby rota procedures.\\n\\nKey Accountabilities:\\n\\n * Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.\\n\\n * Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.\\n\\n * To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.\\n\\n * Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.\\n\\n * Requirement to participate on an out of hours standby rota. Responsible for arranging & communication of any cover required due to holidays/ unforeseen circumstances to line manager.\\n\\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\\n\\nEssential:\\n\\n * NVQ/C&G Refrigeration Based Qualification\\n\\n * Refrigerant Handling C&G 2079 or equivalent CITB certificate\\n\\n * Refrigeration, Electrical, Air Conditioning & Mechanical knowledge\\n\\nDesirable:\\n\\n * BS7671 (IEE 16/17th)\\n\\n * Commercial/Supermarket\\n\\n * Machine Overhaul Skills\\n\\n * Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Training\\n\\n * CO2 Refrigerant Training\\n\\nThe ideal candidate:\\n\\n * Good communication skills (written and verbal)\\n\\n * 5+ years’ experience\\n\\n * Full driving licence
