Job Description

Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer\\n\\nLocation: Nottingham / Leicester\\n\\nContract Type: Permanent\\n\\nWorking Hours: 40 Hours Per Week\\n\\nSalary: £46,791 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment (1:4 x 13 Periods) + Overtime + Travel Time\\n\\nAn exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our company to work with one of our major UK supermarket clients.\\n\\nThe role will involve carrying out planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining, and repairing a range of refrigeration equipment. Additionally, you will undertake regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Carrying out PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance across a number of sites.\\n\\n * Service and repair a range of CO2 refrigeration pack equipment.\\n\\n * Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Refrigeration Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.\\n\\n * Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.\\n\\nQualifications / Experience:\\n\\nEssential\\n\\n * SVQ/NVQ Level 3 within Refrigeration or Equivalent Qualification.\\n\\n * City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.\\n\\nDesirable but not essential:\\n\\n * City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition.\\n\\n * City and Guilds Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Refrigeration System Services.\\n\\nThe ideal candidate:\\n\\n * Multiple years’ experience working with supermarket refrigeration systems.\\n\\n * Flexible to be part of the 24/7 on-call rota every 1:4 weeks.\\n\\n * Full driving license.\\n\\n * Experience using a PDA system.\\n\\n * Ability to read technical drawings.\\n\\n * Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment.\\n\\nWhat We Offer:\\n\\nAt City, we take pride in supporting our colleagues with a fantastic range of exciting benefits designed to enhance both their professional and personal lives.
