Role Overview
The Technical Inspector is responsible for delivering expert pest control inspection, auditing, and advisory services across the Asda estate. This role acts as the technical lead and subject matter expert, ensuring high standards of pest prevention, control, compliance, and reporting are consistently achieved across all site types.
The position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can identify pest risks, provide actionable recommendations, support operational teams, and act as the key technical liaison between the business and the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed, high-level pest control inspections across retail stores, distribution centres, express sites, concessions, and associated brands
- Identify active infestations, pest activity, and environmental risks conducive to infestation
- Act as the technical point of contact for Asda representatives and internal pest control technicians
- Support technicians in resolving complex or recurring pest issues
- Produce comprehensive audit reports with clear findings, root cause analysis, and recommendations
- Carry out quality assurance reviews across the region
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety and hygiene regulations
Qualifications / Experience
Essential
- Level 3 and equivalent pest control qualification
- Strong technical knowledge of pest control, including identification, treatment, and prevention
- Experience in auditing, inspection, and report writing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
