Job Title: CCTV and Fire Systems Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a technical specialist responsible for first call response to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, and Automatic Pedestrian Gates in designated stores.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Undertake maintenance and repairs according to KPIs, including response, repair, first fix, and closure.
  2. Ensure all planned, reactive, and statutory works are completed per contractual obligations, as outlined in the City FM Bookcase.
  3. Complete PPM works within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate paperwork and adherence to procedures and standards.
  4. Respond promptly to service requests from the Helpdesk during normal hours and on-call, with out-of-hours handled by specialists.
  5. Identify non-repairable faults and propose corrective actions.
  6. Order parts as required, ensure prompt fitting, and chase outstanding parts not delivered within 5 days.
  7. Complete all necessary documentation to measure performance and undertake surveys as requested.
  8. Communicate regularly with the Duty Manager about repair and maintenance issues affecting store operations.
  9. Ensure tools and equipment are available and in good condition at all times.
  10. Perform Fire PPM visits to BS5839 and ensure fire alarm systems are compliant, reporting defects as necessary.
  11. Proficient in written and verbal communication, report writing, and recording procedures.
  12. Be aware of relevant regulations and codes of practice.
  13. Notify the helpdesk of procedural task conditions upon work completion.
  14. Conduct surveys and complete reports as directed by supervisors or specialists.
  15. Maintain high standards of work efficiently and cost-effectively, complying with Health and Safety policies.
  16. Complete tasks within designated timeframes to meet company and client satisfaction.
  17. Attend necessary training to stay current with technical and business developments.
  18. Complete mandatory online training modules via Evolve.
  19. Comply with Health and Safety at Work Act and company policies at all times.
  20. Collaborate with colleagues to maintain quality standards.
  21. Represent the company professionally and foster good working relationships with store and ASDA colleagues.
  22. Follow any additional instructions from City Management.
