This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a number of site locations within a specified region. To carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs to a range of electrical, mechanical and building assets in ASDA stores in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the specified Company Health and Safety procedures.
Maintenance tasks include:
- Bakery and catering equipment
- Mechanical and electrical systems and assets
- Lighting systems
- Building fabric
- Water services
- Other static and portable electrical equipment
- General maintenance and first look for all HVAC, Fire and Security and electrical and general issues
Key Responsibilities
- To complete all necessary PPM’s and ensure all PPM remedial tasks are accurately logged and actioned, ensuring legal compliance
- To supervise the Maintenance Assistant (MA), provide regular coaching and support them to perform their role in line with company processes
- To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and contract SLA’s
Qualities / Experience
- C&G 2382 (18th edition) Level 3 core Electrical qualification, examples of which are: C&G2330, C&G 2365 (with relevant experience), C&G2365 etc.
- Desirable But Not Essential: Familiarity with completion of electrical certification
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
- Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role
The Ideal Candidate
- Ability to maintain/repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. fans, pumps and compressors, to recognised standards
- General plumbing and building experience
- Ability to work at heights
- Current driving licence
