Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Focus – Commercial Contracts (70%)

  • Review, draft, and negotiate legal agreements with clients, suppliers, and other counterparties
  • Work closely with sales teams to support business objectives
  • Contribute to contract precedents and process improvements

Governance & Legal Risk Management (20%)

  • Assist with maintaining and enforcing company policies and procedures, particularly those governing contract signatures
  • Participate in business risk management activities, including attendance at risk committees when required

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Dispute Resolution (5%): Provide initial advice on disputes and claims between the company and third parties (with support from the dedicated litigation function)
  • Company Secretarial (3%): Assist, when required, with mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and other corporate activities
  • HR Support (2%): Provide occasional advice to the HR team on staff disputes, claims, grievances, and other legal issues

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1+ years PQE (Post-Qualification Experience)
  • Experience with BPO outsourcing/commercial contracts or software SaaS licensing
  • Previous experience working with sales teams (not just procurement)
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with internal clients (including sales and commercial teams) and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (knowledge of other Office applications helpful)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage heavy workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of data protection law
  • Appropriate professional legal qualifications
