We are a leading wholesale distributor of high-quality bathroom products, supplying retailers and plumbing trade counters across North England. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing and Business Administrator to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing & Supplier Management: Purchase products and manage purchase orders through to completion. Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Logistics & Delivery Coordination: Liaise with shippers and hauliers to track and ensure timely delivery of goods. Organise deliveries, manage booking-in schedules, and oversee back orders.
- Product & Quality Management: Perform quality control checks on products, reporting issuing to suppliers. Maintain and update a library of technical specifications, images, and fitting instructions for all products.
- Administrative Support: Keep internal calendars organised & Maintain cost books
- Data Management & Reporting: Assist with stock movements and support stock takes. Add notes, update, and create new item codes as required. Update demand forecasts and compile various reports on request.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, providing support and answering queries. Foster collaboration across teams to ensure operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in purchasing, business administration, or a similar role (preferably in wholesale or distribution).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
