Job Description
CQC Lead / Compliance Manager (Full-Time or Part-Time)
City Dermatology Clinic – London, Queen St. | Hybrid / Flexible Hours
Are you sitting in a role that feels too small for your ambition?
Do you know CQC almost inside out, but want to be part of something more meaningful than ticking boxes?
We’re City Dermatology, a growing private dermatology and minor surgery clinic in the heart of London.
We’re three years in, built by people who genuinely care, and we’re ready for our next stage: growth, expansion, and excellence across multiple locations.
We’re looking for a CQC Lead or experienced compliance professional to take the reins on all things governance, regulation, and clinical quality, and to help shape the future of our clinic.
Who We’re Looking For:
This is not a rigid corporate role. We're a startup-minded clinic that adapts, evolves, and puts people first, patients and staff alike.
You don’t need to have held the title of “CQC Manager,” but extensive hands-on experience with CQC standards, audits, and governance in healthcare is essential.
Above all, you are:
- A natural leader who takes ownership
- Motivated by impact, not just process
- Able to balance compliance with pragmatism and people skills
- Excited by the idea of building systems that grow with us
- The kind of person who sees a problem and fixes it without being asked
What You’ll Do
- Own and lead CQC compliance and clinical governance end-to-end
- Conduct internal audits, manage inspections, and ensure we’re always inspection-ready without losing the human side of care
- Keep our clinical protocols and documentation sharp—clear, effective, and always improving
- Support the smooth daily running of the clinic by thinking ahead, solving problems, and keeping things flowing
- Assist consultants and nurses in minor surgical and dermatological procedures as needed, helping with prep, flow, patient support, or logistics
- Act as a bridge between clinical and non-clinical teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and shared purpose
- Play a key role in new service rollouts and expansion planning as we grow into a multi-location provider
- Help lead on staff onboarding, training, and development, especially around compliance, safety, and patient experience
- Contribute to business improvement projects, whether it’s introducing new systems, improving the patient journey, or testing new ideas
About Us:
At City Dermatology, we don’t see work as clocking in and out. We’re a family and a team, and we protect our culture fiercely. We hire carefully, and our people are our biggest asset.
We are driven by:
- Patient-first care, always
- Excellence without ego; we hold ourselves to high standards and keep learning
- A deep belief in supporting each other, especially as we grow
- A shared excitement about building something meaningful together
The Details
- Part-time or full-time (open to what works for the right person)
- Competitive salary based on experience and availability
- Hybrid working available
- Based in a modern City of London clinic
- Work alongside some of the UK’s leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons
This Is For You If
- You’ve worked in regulated healthcare and are ready for more freedom and impact
- You’re tired of bureaucracy for bureaucracy’s sake
- You want your work to matter for patients, colleagues, and the business
- You’re looking for a long-term role in a place where you can grow as we grow
