The Housing Renewals and Adaptation service are looking for a suitably qualified and motivated surveyor to work within a grants agency team administering Disabled Facilities Grants and other forms of housing assistance that include Repair Loans and Empty Property Grants.
Duties include the undertaking of property surveys, preparation of drawings, schedules of work, specifications and other tender documentation, allocating jobs to contractors, inspection duties, arranging payments and managing scheme accounts.
The postholder will be expected to liaise with clients, tenants, contractors, statutory bodies and other partner agencies. It is essential to have good communication and inter-personal skills.
Qualified in building construction, with suitable experience of building surveying roles and responsibilities, with knowledge of current construction and health and safety legislation. You will have CAD skills and experience, experience of preparing disabled adaptation schemes and preparation of schedules of repair works.
