Every day as a HICSS Care Assistant is different, but your impact is always the same: helping people recover, regain independence, and remain safely at home.
- Deliver person-centred care in line with care plans and clinical guidance
- Assist with personal care while promoting dignity and independence
- Monitor wellbeing and report changes to the wider multidisciplinary team
- Work closely with healthcare professionals as part of an integrated local team
Whether you already have experience in care or are looking to build on a solid foundation, you’ll play a key role in supporting recovery and independence at home.
- Have previous care experience, ideally within community, reablement, or hospital discharge settings
- Hold (or are willing to work towards) a relevant qualification such as a Care Certificate or NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- Are confident following care plans and working alongside healthcare professionals
- Are reliable, committed, and able to work independently in the community
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
