Job Description
What you\’ll do
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. For this role, you must have experience in looking after clients with peg feed. We care for and support people of all ages, in the community, and their homes, with Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.
The client is a young adult who has an acquired brain injury and is non-verbal, and due to this, the client would require several complex needs that need to be met, such as:
PEG feeds (PEJ)
Daily suctioning.
Intermittent Catheter Care
Monitoring the client\’s condition for seizures.
Qualifications
What you\’ll need
Experience required:
– Experience with seizure management and anti-seizure medication, rescue packs etc.
Experience in the following would be extremely advantageous:
– Experience with intermittent catheter care.
– Experience with suctioning machines.
– Experience with PEJs.
