The Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Art & Design and Fashion & Textiles Technician to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong practical background in art, design, fashion, and textile processes, with hands-on experience using a range of specialist equipment, materials, and digital tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, sewing machinery, printmaking, or textile technologies). Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining workshop and studio spaces, supporting staff and students during practical sessions, demonstrating safe and effective techniques, and ensuring equipment and resources are available and in good working order. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to developing a creative and inclusive learning environment, and the ability to adapt to emerging practices and technologies within the creative industries. A passion for helping students develop their technical skills and creative confidence is essential.
