The Role
We are seeking a Cyber & Computing Lecturer to deliver relevant, high-quality technical education aligned to the needs of the defence and secure digital sectors. You will bring knowledge from areas such as cyber security, secure networks and systems, programming and software development, AI and data, or other mission-critical digital environments. The role is suitable for experienced educators and industry professionals who can translate current practice into engaging learning and help learners progress into employment, apprenticeships and higher-level cyber and computing pathways.
What Will You Bring to the Role
- Adapting - Able to adapt rapidly to changing technologies, cyber threats and curriculum requirements, switching effectively between teaching, technical troubleshooting, practical environments and learner support.
- Focused - Able to maintain sustained attention to detail when working with code, systems, networks and security configurations, making careful and appropriate decisions during troubleshooting, assessment and practical delivery.
- Problem-solving - Able to identify patterns in system or network behaviour, diagnose technical problems, critically evaluate information and develop logical, secure solutions to computing and cyber challenges.
- Learning - Able to keep technical knowledge current in a fast-changing field, learn from new technologies and security developments, and translate emerging practice into relevant and engaging teaching.
