The Role
We are seeking a Careers Lead to help learners understand and access the breadth of high-value opportunities available across defence and its associated supply chains. You will coordinate careers education, information, advice and guidance across the DTEC, develop clear routes into apprenticeships, Level 4+ study and employment, and work closely with employers, curriculum teams and partner providers to create meaningful learner experiences. The role will also support widening participation and stronger progression into priority technical careers.

- Adapting -Able to adapt careers and progression activity to changing defence labour-market needs and to the differing needs of learners, employers, schools and delivery partners, while managing multiple strands of activity effectively.

- Learning -Able to learn from labour-market intelligence, learner feedback and progression outcomes, recognise emerging career opportunities and anticipate how pathways may change as defence and technical occupations evolve.
- Persistence -Able to maintain momentum on learner progression and outreach activity, persist through barriers or setbacks, and follow opportunities through to meaningful careers encounters, destinations and progression outcomes.
