At City College Norwich we have seen an influx in demand for Higher Apprentices in the Construction field. To help support and prepare these apprentices for industry we are looking to recruit an Apprenticeship Workplace Supervisor to conduct progress reviews with the apprentice and employer and mentors, enabling a bridge between their academic studies and their workplace experiences.
The successful candidate will have a caseload of apprentices, to regularly meet with to review and track their progress, support with logging off-the-job hours and building a portfolio of evidence, as they work towards completing the apprenticeship, support them through Gateway and EPA. The role would be the equivalent to one day a week to be worked flexibly throughout the week (Monday-Friday).
Responsibilities- Conduct progress reviews with apprentices, employers and mentors, enabling a bridge between academic studies and workplace experiences.
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, regularly meet to review and track progress, assist with logging off-the-job hours and building a portfolio of evidence as they work towards completing the apprenticeship.
- Support apprentices through Gateway and End-Point Assessment (EPA).
- Work approximately one day per week, flexibly across Monday–Friday.
As a College we are required to undertake Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
