We are recruiting for a qualified Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced UK-based food manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role supporting maintenance, fault finding and installation work across production, packaging and cold storage areas.
The Role
- Electrical maintenance and fault finding on production line equipment
- Working on control panels, MCCs, motors and drives
- Supporting installations and continuous improvement projects
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, hygiene and site safety standards
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) with AM2
- 18th Edition – City & Guilds 2382-22
- Inspection & Testing – City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent)
- ECS/JIB Gold Card
- Proven industrial/manufacturing experience
- Competent with control panels, MCCs, motors and drives
- Health & Safety
- LOTO and Permit to Work experience
- Working at Height & Manual Handling
- Food Safety Level 2 (or willingness to complete)
- Understanding of GMP and high-care environments
Desirable
- PLC fault finding
- Refrigeration plant awareness
- ATEX/CompEx
- First Aid at Work
