Are you an experienced Auto Electrician ready to take on a role where no two days are the same? The Role
You’ll be the go‑to expert for all things electrical, working on a varied and modern fleet of PCV/HGV vehicles. From diagnostics to repairs, you’ll play a key role in keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and operating at their best.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment
- Working on components such as alternators, starters, batteries, lighting, sensors, and control units
- Carrying out wiring repairs, loom work, and electrical installations
- Supporting roadside repairs and call‑outs when required
- Assisting with MOT preparation and ensuring high‑quality repairs
- Maintaining accurate records including job cards and defect reports
- Ensuring all work meets Operator Licence and safety standards
Working Hours
Rotating shifts: 06:30 – 14:30, 08:00 – 16:30, 10:00 – 18:30
Overtime available evenings and weekends. Call‑outs paid at enhanced rates (minimum 3 hours, short jobs paid at double time).
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified PCV/PSV or HGV Technician (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong auto‑electrical knowledge and diagnostic ability
- Confident working independently and within a team
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
Desirable
- Experience with complex diagnostics on coaches/buses
- Previous roadside or call‑out experience
