We are currently recruiting a Mechanic Technician to join a leading national vehicle hire company at their high-volume Bristol hub in Avonmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 qualified mechanic to join a household name and work within a fast-paced, professional workshop environment. Working for an award-winning PLC, you will benefit from a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule with no weekend work.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a large fleet of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs).
- Diagnosing faults and ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and safe for rental.
- Working on major brands including Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, and VW Transporter.
- Completing vehicle health checks and ensuring all documentation is accurate.
- Maintaining a high standard of "first-time fix" to keep the fleet moving.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience working in a professional garage or fleet workshop environment.
- Confidence working with LCVs/Vans is highly desirable.
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- A reliable, hardworking professional with their own basic tool kit.
