Our client is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join on a temporary ongoing basis, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
The position involves the following responsibilities:
- Chemical Analysis: Performing nisin concentration analysis (HPLC) and ensuring production and final products meet company specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards through microbiological analysis at all production stages.
- Monitoring plant hygiene and maintaining culture stocks.
- Participating in site hygiene audits and behavioural safety programmes.
- Attending and contributing to site, SHEQ, and team meetings.
Company Databases:
- Maintaining site QC databases.
- Preparing data for meetings.
- Providing technical advice based on laboratory data.
Candidate Requirements:
- Pass degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a laboratory qualification at HNC/HND level with relevant experience.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in science-based studies with relevant experience.
- Good interpersonal skills and high accuracy in routine and non-routine tasks.
- Must hold a valid passport or Birth Certificate with proof of National Insurance.
- Legal right to live and work in the UK, with documented evidence provided during recruitment.
Working Details:
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 am to 3:30 pm
- 40 hours per week
- £12.50 per hour, increasing to £13.56 after 3 months
- Immediate start
