Job Title: Kitchen Porter – Wedding Event
Location: Batcombe, Shepton Mallet
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Working Hours: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Duration: One-day Event
Start Date: Friday 1st August 2025

We’re looking for efficient and hard-working Kitchen Porters to join the back-of-house team for a professional outdoor wedding in Shepton Mallet on 1st August 2025, catering for 180 guests. This is a great opportunity to be part of a smooth-running, high-quality event, supporting chefs and waiting staff behind the scenes.

The Job:
• Keeping serveware, glassware, and kitchen equipment washed, dried, and rotated throughout service
• Wiping down and stacking plates, cutlery, and glasses into crates for return
• Assisting with unloading and loading of event kit
• General tidying and bin duty to maintain a clean, safe back-of-house environment
• Supporting the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service

The Requirements:
• A strong, team-focused attitude — we need people who can get stuck in and keep things moving
• Ability to stay organised and efficient during busy service periods
• Comfortable with physical tasks, being on your feet, and working in a fast-paced setting

Dress Code:
• Black trousers
• White, ironed shirts
• Black, polished shoes — no trainers permitted
• Hair should be tidy and secured back if long
• Nail varnish must be neat and unchipped
• Aprons may be provided for lifting or messier tasks — please arrive in a t-shirt if one may be required
