You will be supporting the refuse teams located in Bridport. In a team of two, you will share the driving responsibilities of a caged transit van.The role involves driving to locations from West Bay to Lyme Regis, litter picking, emptying bins located where the main refuse trucks cannot access during the summer months. This is a summer seasonal contract, so it ends on 28th September, however if you wish to return next summer, the depot maybe able to offer work during the winter at their discretion. No experience required, as full training is provided.
All we ask, is that you are:
- Confident in driving a van in public areas and manoeuvring around narrow streets/roads
- Able to lift / move waste loads repetitively
- Walk up to 8 miles per day
- Good road awareness skills
- Willing to work in all weathers
- Ability to remain calm in conflict situations
- Be reliable and a team player
You must hold:
- Full Manual UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
- Passport or Birth Certificate with National Insurance Number Proof
