Location: Dorchester

Contract: Temporary to permanent position

Pay: Β£14.00 to Β£16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30am to 16.30pm, Fridays 07.30am to 13.30pm

Immediate start available

Must hold full UK manual car licence

Our client based in Dorchester is seeking a Factory Maintenance Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. You will be deemed as an all-rounder who will be responsible for the upkeep/running of their production lines, machines and equipment.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Daily checks on the production machines and equipment
  • Checking water treatment systems and sludge removal
  • Meter readings and monitoring of other processes
  • Carry out general electrical and plumbing fixes
  • Use of company van to deliver products locally
  • Use of a forklift – training will be provided if licence not held
  • Caretaking duties of the outdoor areas

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous maintenance experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Technical aptitude
  • Ability to diagnose and problem-solve
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail
  • Teamwork is essential in this role
