Position: Cold Store Operative with forklift
Location: Wincanton, Somerset
Salary: £12.73 per hour for 6am and 2pm shifts, £18.50 per hour for 10pm shift
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am
Duration: Temp to perm
Start Date: Immediate

The company is a leading company in the food production sector, renowned for their commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional service. They are expanding their operations and are in need of a dedicated FLT Operative to support the warehouse team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the forklift to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
- Organize and stack goods in the designated areas, ensuring efficient use of space.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including packing, labeling, and general housekeeping.
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift License (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred).
- Proven experience as an FLT Operative in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Be adaptable, able to work 3 shifts 6-2/2-10/10-6 and the odd Saturday when needed.
