City Capital are currently representing a highly respected & fast-growing specialist property finance lender who have retained our services to appoint an experienced and well-connected National Account Manager to their growing sales team.
The Company
Our client has been operating in the specialist lending market for c20 years and are renowned for supporting property investors and developers with access to debt for property projects. The product portfolio includes BTL bridging finance portfolio loans development exits & commercial term mortgages. The national account channel is an important channel for the firm and one that is driving outstanding growth due to strong relationships and activities with networks clubs & packagers. This channel remains a key focus for growth moving ahead as the lender targets the doubling of their loan book in a short period backed by outstanding funding.
To achieve this they require an experienced & proactive National Account Manager who will inherit & grow key national account relationships and lending volumes in the South of the UK.
Role Overview
The National Account Manager position is a high impact field-based role focusing on developing and managing key relationships across networks clubs & packages. Reporting to the Head of National Accounts you will deliver strategic account management on an account-by-account basis whilst owning and driving lending volumes through the AR channels of your firms. You will achieve lending growth by directly managing the output of each of your accounts largest and highest potential ARs whilst educating guiding and supporting the firms BDM force to deliver across the broader AR channel. You will be involved in the onboarding of new accounts and will manage the lifecycle of those in the South of the UK. You will regularly undertake account-based reviews to determine the right strategy for each. You will deploy these strategies to drive growth and an increase in relationship and lending volumes. Throughout you will heavily be supported by our clients internal teams vastly experienced in real estate lending and network and club management.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the negotiation onboarding of new national accounts
- Set and agree strategies on an account by-account basis to deliver against objectives
- Proactively manage and grow the UKs largest network ARs directly
- Educate guide and support the BDM sales force to deliver from smaller ARs
- Create and deliver marketing and other sales literature that drive success
- Collaborate with the underwriting and completions teams on key cases
- Represent the business at industry level as a key face of the firm
- Achieve agreed lending and growth objectives
Candidate Requirements
The ideal individual for this position will have current or previous experience of national account management in the mortgage/property finance market. You will understand how networks clubs and packagers operate and will be capable of defining and delivering strategies that support channel and account growth. To complement this you will be an outstanding and strategic account manager confident in developing market approaches that meet the nuanced requirements of different types of national account or AR. You will be a confident negotiator with the capacity to agree terms at corporate level. You will likely demonstrate a proficiency in marketing and will understand what a good relationship looks like. You will be exceptional when managing internal stakeholders to the national account channel to educate and improve their understanding of needs and wants.

Our client is ideally looking to pay up to 110k as a basic salary for the ideal individual which will be relevant to experience. Higher offers may also be considered for an exceptional and demonstrable track record in national account management in the mortgage of specialist property finance sectors. Salary will be complemented by access to our clients very favourable uncapped bonus scheme too with the bonus potential allowing you to substantially increase annual earnings based on performance. Finally our client is growing at an incredible rate due to outstanding funding and big ambitions to be the leading player in their market.
