City + Capital are currently representing a highly respected and fast-growing specialist property finance brokerage ahead of their launch into the 2nd charge mortgage market. They are seeking an experienced & proactive secured mortgage broker to play an integral role in the launch and to assist with the growth and expansion of the department over time. Our client is already renowned for supporting property investors & developers with access to other property finance products, such as development finance, structured finance, CRE, bridging finance & BTL. As a result, they generate a high volume of inbound leads for secured mortgages also.
Due to outstanding investment and ambitions to expand market and customer coverage, their launch into the secured mortgage market means exciting times ahead.

This will see increases to all product-based teams and the new secured mortgage team they are preparing to launch. Role Overview
This initial hire will be the first to join the dedicated secured mortgage team. As a result, you will report directly into one of the company directors and will be integral to early success, helping to shape future plans and delivering the initial completions and revenue that drive success. A key part of your role will be engaging with these leads, undertaking fact-finds with clients and managing their journey to completed loan. You will be ably supported throughout by our client’s experienced and dedicated case management team. Additionally, you will be able to enhance your completions and revenue performance via your own originations and from your existing connections, introducers and borrowers in the market. Your ultimate objective is to achieve agreed revenue targets to propel the department forward and support future growth.
The role will involve initial deal assessment, structuring suitable funding solutions, liaising with lenders and banks, managing client relationships and ensuring transactions progress efficiently through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Engage with second charge mortgage enquiries generated by the business.
- Manage lending requirements from initial enquiry through to funded loan.
- Assess client needs, lending objectives and suitable funding options.
- Structure second charge mortgage solutions in line with client requirements.
- Liaise closely with lenders, banks and internal case management colleagues.
- Manage client and lender relationships throughout the transaction process.
- Maintain and progress an active pipeline of live opportunities.
- Identify and onboard additional leads through personal networks.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially minded and quick to engage with opportunities. You will be a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships, managing live lending enquiries and developing your expertise within specialist property finance. The ideal individual for this role must demonstrate experience in the 2nd charge mortgage market.
- Experienced in secure (2nd charge) mortgage brokering.
- Good knowledge of secured lender and bank requirements & processes.
- Confident speaking with clients, introducers, lenders and internal teams.
- Able to assess lending enquiries and identify suitable funding options.
- Highly proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving brokerage.
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship management skills.
- Ambitious, self-motivated.
- Existing introducer relationships would be advantageous but are not essential.
- A genuine desire to learn, improve and build a long-term career in the sector.
On Offer
The role offers a basic salary of up to c£45k. Higher offers may be considered for exceptional experience and potential. Salary offers will be relevant to experience. Salary will be complemented by an outstanding uncapped bonus potential which will reward you for completions and revenue generated. This will drive a significant OTE where target is met and as uncapped, is unlimited as to what you can earn, based on success. Notably, this is also an opportunity which comes with a high chance of future progression where successful performance is delivered. The new secured broker team is set to grow and swell over time, and this may require an individual to ‘step up’ to run the team. The preference will be to promote from within where possible, offering plenty of scope to propel career standing & salary forward in time.
