We are currently recruiting an experienced Traffic Marshal for a long-term position on a secure Government project based in Reading. This is a key safety-critical role, responsible for managing vehicle and pedestrian movements on a busy construction site while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and security requirements.

Due to the nature of the project, successful candidates must be able to pass BPSS security clearance prior to starting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Marshalling vehicle movements on and off site
  • Guiding deliveries, plant, and site traffic safely
  • Managing pedestrian routes and exclusion zones
  • Communicating clearly with drivers, banksmen, and site operatives
  • Ensuring all traffic management procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintaining a safe working environment in line with site rules
  • Reporting any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses to site management
Requirements
  • Valid CPCS Traffic Marshal ticket or NPORS Traffic Marshal ticket
  • Previous experience working as a Traffic Marshal on construction sites
  • Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work reliably on a long-term project
  • Must be able to pass BPSS clearance, which includes:
  • Basic DBS check
  • 3-year employment history check
  • Must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years (required for DBS clearance)
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a site team
