City Calling is currently recruiting for Security Drivers / Security Officers for a long-term assignment based at a secure government facility in the Reading Area.
This is a dual-responsibility role combining security duties with driving responsibilities. Successful candidates will play a key part in maintaining site safety, security, and operational efficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing and monitoring car park operations
- Ensuring site access and traffic flow are maintained safely
- Driving minibuses to transport staff during morning and evening periods
- Maintaining a visible, professional security presence
- Reporting incidents, hazards, or security concerns
- Supporting overall site safety and compliance procedures
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (essential)
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential)
- Clean driving record
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Professional and responsible attitude
- Previous security or driving experience preferred
Security Clearance Requirement (BPSS)
This role is based at a government facility, therefore all successful applicants must pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) Clearance prior to starting. To meet BPSS requirements, candidates must provide:
- 5-year address history within the UK
- 3-year employment/work history within the UK
- Proof of Right to Work in the UK
As part of the clearance process:
- A DBS Certificate will be obtained
- All screening and clearance costs are fully covered by us
- Candidates are not required to pay anything
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 06:00 – 18:00 or 06:30 – 18:30 (TBC)
This position offers stable hours, long-term security, and consistent work within a professional environment.
